What we collect

We collect the information you choose to provide: your name, email address, municipality or broad area, and, when relevant, your mobile phone number, volunteer interests, availability, skills, event attendance, and the questions or comments you submit. We ask for broad area rather than exact home address. We do not ask for your political party affiliation to receive a neutral civic resource.

Separate consent

Email and text message outreach each require separate, plain-language consent. Email signup alone does not add you to text messaging. You can opt out of email or text at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any message or by contacting the campaign. Replying STOP to a text message opts you out of further text outreach.

How we use it

We use your information to deliver the resources you request, send campaign updates and event invitations, personalize your quiz results, coordinate volunteer activities, and follow up on questions you submit. We may use aggregated, non-identifying information to understand which issues residents care about. We do not display individual responses, exact home locations, or personally identifying information on the public district map.

Public use of questions

When you submit a question through Ask Joe, a separate permission controls whether the campaign may use your question publicly. Submitting a question does not guarantee publication or a personal response.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe, opt out of text messages, or request that we stop contacting you at any time. To exercise your privacy rights or request deletion of your information, contact the campaign before launch once contact details are finalized.
