Joe Kelly for State Senate respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect the information you share through this website, including the District Priorities Quiz, email signups, event RSVPs, volunteer forms, yard sign requests, and the Ask Joe form.

Information we collect

We collect the information you choose to provide: your name, email address, municipality or broad area, mobile phone number, form submissions, event and volunteer information, and any other fields you complete, such as quiz answers, comments, and questions. We ask for broad area rather than exact home address. We do not ask for your political party affiliation to receive a neutral civic resource.

How information is collected

We collect information through website forms, checkbox opt-ins, email signups, event registrations, the District Priorities Quiz, volunteer and yard sign requests, and the Ask Joe form. We also collect the page source and, where applicable, the QR or campaign material that brought you to the site.

How information is used

We use your information to deliver the resources you request, send campaign updates and event invitations, personalize your quiz results, coordinate volunteer activities, and follow up on questions you submit. We use SMS communications only when you have separately opted in to text messages. We may use aggregated, non-identifying information to understand which issues residents care about. We do not display individual responses, exact home locations, or personally identifying information on the public district map.

SMS consent

Email consent does not create SMS consent. Receiving email updates does not add you to text messaging. SMS outreach requires a separate, affirmative checkbox opt-in. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to a campaign text, and reply HELP for help.

We do not sell or share your information

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for their promotional or marketing purposes. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data will not be shared with third parties for their own promotional or marketing purposes. SMS consent will not be sold, rented, or transferred to third parties.

We use service providers to operate the website, contact database, texting, email, and forms. These vendors may process information only to provide services to the campaign and may not use SMS opt-in data for their own marketing.

Public use of questions

When you submit a question through Ask Joe, a separate permission controls whether the campaign may use your question publicly. Submitting a question does not guarantee publication or a personal response.

Opt-out instructions

You can unsubscribe from email using the unsubscribe link in any email. You can opt out of text messages by replying STOP to a campaign text, and reply HELP for help. You can also request that we stop contacting you at any time.
